Data-dog, they are lying, I am extremely insulted. Why would I do that? Check my post record if you like, but considering the whack-a-doodle pm you sent me about believing in Jesus and being moved by the holy spirit when you read the Bible, you should be the last person accusing anyone of pretending to be something else.. Why not ask me privately? I'm clearly going to subjected to constant suspicion here.. Goodbye.

Unbelievable Watchtower quote from 1962!!.. ''Don't waste time speculating on what year Armageddon will come'' (check it on cd-rom if you like)
by defender of truth inwt 6/15 1962 p.380-383.
"likewise it is possible to spend valuable time speculating on matters concerning the future.
one might ask, in what year will armageddon begin?...jehovah has not provided answers at this time.

Theists, why does God allow suffering..
by The Quiet One in..specifically, the suffering of animals.
you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.
i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

^^ The above reasoning was given to me by an experienced Witness, in case you're wondering why I'd talk about pollution and us ruining the earth.. I'm having a hard time reading the bible nowadays, Jehovah doesn't seem to care about animals at all, and that does not sit well with me.

"Likewise it is possible to spend valuable time speculating on matters concerning the future. One might ask, In what year will Armageddon begin?...Jehovah has not provided answers at this time. Do you think it wise for Christians to take time from more profitable Bible study to speculate on the answers? Consider the dangers...involves more than saving time. It may save your life...Personal theories can cause division of thought..By setting up hypothetical situations and then speculating..are we not in fact adding to Jehovahs words?..We cannot worship Jehovah in spirit and in truth if our worship is based on speculation. Truth and theory are not synonymous. " -

It seems that neither the Faithful Slave nor the Bible can answer this question.. How can anyone believe in a loving God.. that not only 'dented the bread pan', He even went so far as to put a dent in every kind of animal that was to ever exist? Either that or the paradise was originally filled with cancer-ridden monkeys, as well as Lions tearing their prey to pieces as Adam and Eve sat there having a picnic.. Although man did supposedly have the animals in subjection? ?
Did our lifestyle/pollution damage them somehow, with the various carnivores only becoming like that after the flood? Confused.. -

Why are JWs so afraid of apostates?
by Magnum inwhy are jws so afraid of apostates?
their view of apostates seems to be out of the realm of the ordinary, the natural.
its as if the words of apostates are supernatual or spiritistic as if apostates are some kind of jedi knights who can slightly wave their hands or twitch their eyes and bring one under a spell.

(I'll stop now, I just couldn't resist pointing out some of the values of this site)
"I have put together a new article regarding whether the Global Flood of Noah is possible. It utilises a lot of information from threads on JWN, and some of you may recognise your own comments. Please feel free to proof read, make suggestions, provide further references, etc."
